Mimi

Mimi loves the beach at Gulf Shores. Every morning and evening she strolls up and down, looking for shells to take home to Marietta where she'll add them to her shell garden. Over the years she has been teacher, nurse, administrator, author, mother, wife, and grandmother. These days she is slowing down and her short term memory is flagging. Most of the time she is upbeat, but she admits that she gets frustrated with her mind; once it was sharp and clear, but now it is foggy more often than not. At the beach, however, Mimi relaxes. The power of the ocean and sky bring back memories from years gone by, and she enjoys a measure of peace. There's a little blue house in Gulf Shores that will always be part of Mimi's recollections.
